Cloud Computing

CLOUDComputing

Nearly a decade ago, Google’s founders Sergey Brin and Larry Page laid out their vision for their company: "to organize the world's information and make it universally accessible." This over the years has evolved into a concept (and technology) called Cloud Computing.

Cloud computing snares ideas from many ideas that spawned and thrived over the decade: virtualization, abstraction, web2.0 community, grid computing, SOA to name a few. Yet, the sum of parts is very different and rationally intriguing. Cloud computing is and effects lives of millions everyday. At the enterprise IT level it is already doing wonders to early adopters, many joining in and reaping immense benefits, especially in terms of scalability and on-demand information availability. Never late to the game, IBM has also made major offerings and is working shoulder to shoulder with the Big G.

Aludra has deep experience in the cloud space. Our consultants have helped clients implement applications (and websites) on cloud based platforms like Google App Engine, Amazon S3, Ning. We also have a strong background in Grid Computing, Virtualization, SOA and web2.0, which enables us to resolve issues at a depth few companies can match. What does this mean to small medium businesses?

Huge cost-savings and easy B2B integration paths. The biggest advantage that cloud computing offers is that it can re-use the same technology layers that traditional non cloud systems use. This low cost entry provision is a huge pull and no wonder, thousands by the day are moving their applications to the cloud.
